Seismic performance of the Mitigation Measures of a failed Slope in Pissouri, Cyprus

The residential area of Limnes in Pissouri, Cyprus has experienced significant ground movements following a high-rainfall period leading to the abandonment of a number of seriously-affected houses. The consulting office OTM, after conducting a large-scale ground investigation survey to highlight the landslide trigger mechanism, was assigned to design the mitigation measures.
Grid Engineers have been hired by the Consultant to assess the seismic performance of the mitigation. Our study involved: generation of hazard-consistent earthquake scenarios for the reference site; 3-dimensional static and dynamic non-linear F.E. analyses of the mitigated slope; assessment and prioritization of mitigation alternatives.
